This study is situated within the context of developing management competencies in structured fast food restaurant chains, using an interdisciplinary approach that encompasses organizational management, corporate education, people management, and processes for building and strengthening competencies. In this dynamic, competitive setting, managers play a key role in ensuring the social, operational, and financial performance of units. However, the transition of employees from frontline roles to management positions is a frequent challenge often carried out abruptly and without adequate preparation which can undermine organizational outcomes. The research is guided by the following question: how do fast food restaurants in a structured chain in Brazil foster competency development for employees transitioning from operational roles to management positions? The theoretical framework draws on the Bioecological Theory of Human Development (Bronfenbrenner, 2011), the competency-based approach (Durand, 1998), and contemporary contributions on people management (Dutra, 2019; Ávila and Stecca, 2015). The general objective was to understand how fast food restaurants in a structured chain in Brazil promote competency development for the transition from operational roles to management. The specific objectives are: (SO1) identify management competency needs; (SO2) analyze competency-building processes for the transition; and (SO3) propose a conceptual synthesis model of transition practices. The methodology is basic in nature, with a mixed (quantitative– qualitative), exploratory approach, using primary and secondary data and descriptive statistics. Results: the position-based competency matrix revealed gaps, including heterogeneous training coverage across profiles for communication/leadership; perceptions of longer preparation timelines regarding work organization; and the need to routinize feedback as a management practice. For (R2), internal promotion predominated in both roles, more strongly for the coordinator role. A conceptual synthesis model (R3) was consolidated, aligning readiness criteria, stages of initial and ongoing training, evaluation and feedback, and the distribution of responsibilities between the chain and store level. The model was derived.

This work analyzes the public policies related to Ecohealth and elderly people in Anápolis, Goiás. The study aimed to analyze the evolution of public health policies focused on aging of the elderly population in Brazil, focusing on the integration of the National Policy of Health of the Elderly, and discuss the importance of the Ecosaúde approach to promote quality of life, environmental sustainability and healthy aging in the current context in the city of Anápolis- GO. For this, an exploratory qualitative research was carried out, using a methodological approach that involved the analysis of legal documents and visitation to areas of the city of Anápolis. The survey revealed that although the law was an important step in promoting accessibility, implementation still faces significant challenges such as lack of space and adequate structure. The results also discuss the importance of an interdisciplinary approach and the need for a more critical look at urban planning to ensure that proposed legislation translates into concrete changes in the lives of older adults. The dissertation points out the relevance of effective public policies to guarantee autonomy, well-being and quality of life of the elderly population, suggesting improvements in monitoring the implementation of the National Policy for the Elderly

This dissertation presents an analysis of Marian apparitions around the world, seeking to understand the social and symbolic processes that sustain the formation of collective convictions surrounding these events, which invariably begin with personal testimonies of visions of the Virgin. The research is based on a case study of the apparitions of Our Lady of the Conception (the “Saint of Bonfim”) in Engenho Velho, a region of the former city of Bonfim—currently Silvânia, in the state of Goiás, Brazil—occurring between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, which gave rise to a local pilgrimage. The study discusses the intervention of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Goiás in this pilgrimage, revealing the tensions and conflicts between popular Catholicism and official Catholicism, especially the mechanisms of control employed by the Portuguese Redemptorist priest Salomão Pinto Vieira, and the resilience of the parish laity. The aim is to understand the factors that led to the silencing of what was once one of the major pilgrimages in Goiás, even though the region continues to nurture popular religiosity through other celebrations typical of the Catholic tradition. The research involved literature review, documentary analysis, and participant observation, under the theoretical frameworks of Cultural History, Sociology, and Cultural Geography. Through a historical, religious, and social analysis, the dissertation seeks to understand the practices of rustic Catholicism and the mechanisms of institutional control articulated by the Church in Goiás, particularly in Bonfim. Based on the mapping, cataloging, and collection of data, the study was organized around themes such as popular devotion, institutional repression, and the survival and resilience of religious manifestations in Brazil

The following technical report aims to present the research carried out on the life of the Benedictine monk Pedro Recroix, his artwork and the history of the Monastery of the Annunciation of the Lord in the city of Goiás. Understanding that Pedro's artwork, wood carvings, has great popular expression based on the structure of liberation theology, this report seeks to contribute to the population of Vila Boa by presenting forgotten narratives about the construction of the history of this city. Identified as narratives on the fringes of the historic center, therefore alluding to Guimarães Rosa, stories told from the third bank of the river, this work seeks to give voice to the silenced community in the territory. The Monastery of the Annunciation of the Lord emerges in the city of Goiás as a cry of liberation theology, which seeks, through a popular reading of the Bible and a Christianity that represents popular religiosity, to present to everyone a God who mingles among the people, a God who is a servant and not served. Works such as The Trinity, The Burning Bush or The Sacrifice of Isaac mark this optional narrative in the monastery of which Recroix was one of the founders. The appreciation of the story told by those who lived it and shared experiences with Peter dialogues with the result of this work, which takes place in the collective construction of a possible Kingdom of God experienced among the people, not in a future life, but in the here and now. Therefore, to see Latin American faces in Peter's carvings is to realize that this work of art has a place, has life and the inspiration lies in contemplating the face of God in those around Him. Thus, Pedro Recroix's work identifies itself in a libertarian way with the population that frequented this monastery.

This research was developed within the scope of the Professional Master's Program in Cultural Studies, Memory, and Heritage at the State University of Goiás, focusing on the Odé Kayodê Pluricultural School, located in the Vila Esperança Cultural Center in Goiás City. Based on the project "Ancestry and the Grandparents' Knowledge and Practices," the overall objective is to analyze how collective memory, intergenerational bonds, and traditional knowledge constitute pedagogical foundations capable of promoting belonging, valuing identity, and resisting hegemonic narratives that have historically rendered Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous cultures invisible. The specific objectives are as follows: i) to understand how the project "Ancestry and the Grandparents' Knowledge and Practices" is being developed at the Odé Kayodê School from the perspective of critical heritage education; ii) to understand the interconnection between ancestral wisdom and the education of students to value Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous cultures; iii) contribute to the consolidation of educational practices committed to social justice, the dignity of historically excluded peoples, and the affirmation of memory as a right and as resistance, through the educational resource – cultural notebook. This is a qualitative and autoethnographic action research, supported by references such as: critical pedagogy, by Freire (1987, 2001, 2002); critical interculturality defended by Candau (2008, 2011, 2012); decoloniality, in the studies of Walsh (2009, 2013) and Cusícanqui (2012, 2016, 2018); diversity, discussed by Gomes (2003, 2013); identity, with Hall (1997, 2006) and Silva (2019); memory, defended by Halbwachs (2006); collective memory, by Horta (2012). In the field of heritage education, the contributions of Tolentino (2016, 2017, 2018) are fundamental. The research results demonstrate that the Odé Kayodê School operates as an "in-between place" of re-existence, transcending the limits of formal education and establishing itself as a symbolic space of re-enchantment, community protagonism, and epistemic insurgency. It is hoped that the cultural notebook will promote the appreciation of grandparents' knowledge and practices, articulating theory and practice in the construction of a pedagogy of care, ancestry, and dignity.
