Lições leminskianas : a estética da recepção e as representações alegóricas em “Guerra dentro da gente”

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to analyze the lessons taught by Paulo Leminski in the book Guerra dentro da gente, which allows us to observe how allegorical representations are used in the plot to present social issues and internal conflicts of the characters, highlighting their desires, dreams and hard battles in search of personal achievements. Furthermore, through the trajectory of the characters, we examine the possible identification between the reader and the work, especially through the protagonist, thus establishing the aesthetic importance of literary production for its recipient. Using a qualitative methodology, that is, descriptive and interpretative, we investigate both the aspect of aesthetic reception and the allegorical symbolism that fantasy productions tend to use in their composition. Organized in three chapters, this academic work aims to address issues relevant to understanding the importance of a fictional production, in order to structure itself as follows: the first chapter presents the artistic multiplicity of Paulo Leminski, with his diverse arts and his still impactful legacy; the second presents the theoretical conceptualization on literary reception and allegory, such as: Campbell (2007), Chevalier & Gheerbrant (1986), Iser (1979; 1996), Jauss (1979; 1994), Candido (2000; 2009), Gallian (2017), Zilberman (1989; 2001), among others; the third chapter examines, through excerpts taken from the book, the possible identifications between the story and the one who will read it, in an analysis of the hero's journey, in which his search for self discovery and the interaction with the world and the power structures that question moral rigidity are explored. Thus, in this investigation into the singular – Leminskian – lessons that prove valuable, promoting a deep reflection on the human condition, life and inner challenges, this research points to the importance of the literary work, its symbolic and allegorical value, as an event that provides experiences that contribute to personal and emotional development.
