Abstract

Gallic Acid is an organic compound that belongs to polyphenolic group, that are aromatic chains with hydroxylated group and carboxyl that can get through the hydrolysable tannis extract of plants. The Gallic Acid and is derivates have a lot of pharmacological activities, as anti–mutagenic, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory and hepatological protection. This work shows the structure of anhydrous 3,4,5-Tri acetoxybenzoic acid derivate of 3,4,5-Tri acetoxybenzoic acid, through the replacement of the hydroxyls groups by acetate groups. Through the structure characterization by X-ray diffraction crystallography method, it can be seen the packing of the crystalline structure, have as base, the hydrogen interaction, forming a classical dimerisation. Also their conformation was compound with other structure that’s 3,4,5–Tri acetoxybenzoic acid hemihydrate, already deposited in CCDC, due to the presence of water molecule bring a different conformation one of it’s units asymmetric, characterized as one polymorph relative to anhydrous 3,4,5-triacetoxibenzóico acid.
