Impacto do atropelamento em rodovias sobre a fauna do Cerrado

Abstract

The study makes an review about the principals characteristics and impacts lived for biome Cerrado, quantifies the species of vertebrates for four categories (mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians), cataloged for scientific community and show questions about the highway impact in special for roadkill. The increase of wildlife mortality on the highway of world, especially for the Brazilian Cerrado is on worrisome factor for the population of wildlife especially for those endangered. For this reasons, the purpose of this quest is to observe and verify the impacts caused for the wildlife. It was observed critters of how the scientific community is handle with this new area of ecology ‘’Road ecology’’ and find a quantity vertebrates roadkill on five highways at the Cerrado. This work is structured in two chapters: the goal of first one is to do scientometric analysis of articles of bibliographic productions on the sitio of ‘’Thomson ISI’’ on main collection on the base Web of science from 1991 to 2015, the searches used the key words ‘’Road ecology’’ OR ‘’Road Kill*’’ OR ‘’Roadkill*’’ OR ‘’Road Mortality’’ for every countries. Found 810 articles on Rood kill. It was observed a great increase on numbers of articles, with USA at first place and Brazil on the fourth one. The second chapter makes a descriptive analyze of monitoring of roadkill in five highways on the Cerrado, four of them federal highways in one state. The dates were given for DNIT,(2016): BR-158, BR-242, BR- 262, BR-381 and for Cunha(2010): GO-060. The roadkill on these Cerrado’s highways were registered from 2004 to 2015, although not every year in this period had been monitored. Registered were 3316 roadkill specimens for four categories: mammals(2059), reptiles(629), birds(568), amphibians(60). There were found significative differences between roadkill categories. In the period of rain the roadkill were higher. The roadkill death is also one worrisome threat already at any level to the list of endangered species (IBAMA e IUCN), like: Mymercophaga tridactyla, Tapirus terrestres, Chrysocyon brachyurus, and for this categories was made a comparation about Viable Minimum Population(VMP) indicating one vision of how to find the species for the Cerrado.
