Abstract

This research aims to discuss the implications of Digital Humanities in the field of education, specifically, in Higher Education Institutions, as well as concepts, contexts and crossings that occur through internationalization and interculturality. Thus, this study aims to understand the approaches and distancements that the Digital Humanities provoke, peculiarities and singularities, such as cyberculture, as well as to analyze the internationalization, in its challenges and the processes that arise from it, intertwined with the concepts of Digital Humanities and interculturality, as well as to propose some possibilities of dialogicity of these concepts in the context of Higher Education, with analysis of two universities, in order to mitigate challenges raised in the analysis and discussions proposed in the research. Methodologically, this is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach. As to procedures, the research is bibliographic, autoethnographic and a case study. Regarding the Digital Humanities, Pimenta (2021), Santaella (2021), Castro (2019), Brayner (2021), Berry (2012), Gardiner and Musto (2015), Bauman (2001), Ortiz (2007), Castells (2002), Lévy (1999), among others, ground the research. In internationalization, we have as some references Knight (2020), Miranda (2000), Stallivieri (2002), Morosini (2019), Krawczyk (2008), Oliven (2002), Neves and Martins (2016), among others. And in the field of interculturality, we will have Ramos (2001), Quiroz (2007), Walsh (2009), Han (2019), Clemente and Morosini (2021), Guimarães and Finardi (2018), among others, in addition to other researchers who address some other fields of knowledge that complement the triangulation proposed in this study. Throughout the research process it is sought to understand the processes of internationalization, Digital Humanities and interculturality, having as a starting point two universities (Wyoming/USA and UEG/BR), their concepts, prospects, crossings, challenges and future possibilities.
