Abstract
This study of interpretative and documentary nature had the objective of discussing the
initial teacher education in the courses of Letras and investigate the formative
conception underlying the curriculum for the use of Information and Comunication
Digital Technologies (ICDT) of the course of Letras of the Campus São Miguel do
Araguaia of the State University of Goiás (UEG). More specifically, we sought to
investigate whether or not the course of Letras of UEG - Campus São Miguel do
Araguaia offers training for the use of digital technologies, based on the analyzes of the
formal curricula of the course, according to the Lei de Diretrizes e Bases (LDB), the
Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) and the Projeto Pedagógico do Curso of that
Campus of the year 2015 and how it presents itself. This research was supported by
authors such as Alarcão (2003), Almeida Filho (1998, 2007, 2011), Celani (2001), Leffa
(2000), Pimenta (2002) and Schon as well as authors such as Kenski (2003, 2012),
Paiva (2004, 2005, 2015), Sabota (2011, 2015) that support teacher training for the use
of ICDT. When analyzing the Pedagogical Project of this course and based on what it
proclaims the guiding documents for the courses of Letras and the use of the TDIC in
their contexts, it is also noted that there are gaps to be observed regarding the use of
these tools in disciplines contemplated in the Curricular Matrix, and it is not yet clear
which means are used by this course to provide admission to the mentioned education.
It is important that there is a reflection on this subject and that further study is carried
out giving continuity to this research in the near future.
