O docente de Ciências da Natureza da EJA, mediada por tecnologias (EJATEC) : formação e desafios da interdisciplinaridade.

Abstract

This study sought to understand the training of Natural Sciences teachers working in youth and adult education (EJA) on the topic of interdisciplinarity. Establishing a relationship with the latest version of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) published in 2017, which implements work by area of knowledge. Working interdisciplinarily is challenging. Biologists, physicists and chemists, graduates, who are part of the area of knowledge, have neglected in their initial training the study of the theme and the modality. In the absence of a solid theoretical formative basis, applicability does not exist and continuing education is necessary. The study began with a bibliographic review, reading of scientific articles and book chapters focused on the themes of EJA, digital information and communication technologies (TDICs), interdisciplinarity and teacher training, available in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), in the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and in platforms such as Google Scholar and Scielo. The teachers selected and invited to participate in this study worked in the EJA modality at a distance mediated by technologies (EJATEC) in the Goiás State Education Network (SEDUC-GO) in the second half of 2024. The research was developed from the offer of the educational product (PE) - a 40-hour training course entitled: Interdisciplinarity, Science Teaching and EJA - a fruitful triad. Hosted and made available on the platform of the Center for Study, Research and Training of Education Professionals (CEPFOR) integrated with SEDUC-GO. Concomitant with participation in the course, a questionnaire was proposed for data collection, which addressed the professional profile, training on EJA and interdisciplinarity and understanding of the use of digital information and communication technologies (TDICs) in their training. The results obtained demonstrated that the initial training received to work with EJA, as well as the study on interdisciplinarity were minimal. Working with distance education (EAD) favored the use of TDICs as a means of updating and meeting the demands required of the curricular components for which there is no specific training. Organized into articles, the first two that make up this research were interconnected to the theme by studying the perspectives of the faculty of a pioneering EJATEC unit in Goiânia - GO and the interdisciplinarity in the pedagogical projects of the biology undergraduate course, of three important higher education institutions in Goiás. The third article contemplates the results obtained regarding the profile of the Natural Sciences teacher of EJATEC in Goiás, their training for the modality and for interdisciplinarity. It is understood that the educational product offered has contributed to the improvement of the knowledge of the participating teachers and that this reverberates on the students they accompany.
