Abstract

Soil quality is a parameter that evaluates the specific capacity of a particular soil class, noting its functionality within limits of a natural or managed ecosystem, sustaining biological productivity. Soil quality today is no longer seen only as a soil with good fertility, most also with a good structure and contains a wide range of macro and micro-organisms. The soil microbial characteristics are being increasingly evaluated as sensitive indicators of health and soil quality. The present study aimed to evaluate the microbial community of native savanna soil and compare it to the microbial community growing areas of sugar cane in conventional and organic management. For this, samples of soil under conventional and organic management and soil sample under native savanna vegetation in two plants in the state of Goiás, the number of soil microorganisms was determined by CFU g-1 soil, the metabolic profile was determined using Biolog Ecoplate and prospecting the soil microbial community native plant Goiasa was performed in bioreactors containing medium MN and MN + JE for the production of cell mass. The bioreactors were buffered with K2PO4, MgCO3, NaOH, Na2CO3 and KOH for pH control. The metabolic diversity of bioreactors containing MN and MN+JE and MN+JE+MgCO3 was determined using Biolog Ecoplate and data analysis were performed using the Tukey test and Analysis Principal Component (APC). The soil under organic management had the highest number of CFU g-1 soil. In the evaluation of the degradation of substrates present in front Biolog time, it was found that the data evaluation should be performed with the maximum time of 120 h of incubation. In the metabolism of C sources Community Plant Goiasa soil had a greater uniformity in metabolism. In principal component analysis the soil sample Native Plant Jalles was determined as PC1 in 5 of the 6 groups tested. In the evaluation of culture media for cell mass production was noticed that the highest production was observed in medium MN+JE. Caps K2PO4, MgCO3, NaOH, Na2CO3 and KOH were not effective in controlling the pH of the bioreactor. However in Evaluating the metabolic diversity of the microbial community grown in a bioreactor with medium MN and MN+JE and MN+JE+MgCO3 the bioreactor supplemented with MgCO3 showed the ability to metabolize a greater number of carbon sources. The observed results it was observed that the method Biolog Ecoplate was sensitive for the evaluation of metabolic diversity of soil microbial communities studied and communities grown in bioreactors.
