Goiânia e a marcha para o oeste : as ações e as escalas de um processo modernizador

Abstract

The object of this work is to investigate the Goiania construction processes and implementation of the March to the West, making fundamental object to evaluate a crystallized error, which is located Goiânia as a product of March to the West. From this premise, we seek to distinguish the actions of Pedro Ludovico and Getúlio Vargas, in their respective scales, understanding that the construction of Goiania, gestated by Pedro Ludovico Teixeira, and the March to the West, implemented by Getulio Vargas, were processes with scales of different scope, but as the same purpose: to overcome the natural environment and open the doors of the hinterland for the productive modernization. To understand the approaches and distanced revealed by the actions of governments surveyed here, we highlight some references that allowed an interface, centered mainly in Geography and History. The new territorial configuration required by production modernization proposed actions and systemically articulated objects to overcome the wild and consolidate the technical means to mitigate the nature of the empire with the incorporation of the machines to the territory.
