Abstract
Youth is a relevant theme in social and human sciences, with discussions dating back to the
1960s. This research analyzes youth spatialities in Anápolis (GO), Brazil, seeking to understand how young people interact with urban spaces and how their spatial practices influence identity construction. This qualitative research is based on bibliographic studies and secondary data analysis. The literature review identified key concepts, such as spatialities, youth, and city, and their interrelations. Results show that Anápolis youth have a dynamic relationship with the urban environment, shaping and being shaped by it. Public spaces like squares, cultural centers, and leisure areas are essential for socialization, artistic expression, and socio-cultural skill development. Youth spatial practices influence urban configuration, social and cultural dynamics, and active citizenship construction. This research highlights the importance of inclusive and participatory public policies addressing Anápolis youth needs. Reconsidering how cities are planned and experienced by youth is crucial for creating inclusive, dynamic, accessible, and welcoming urban environments. Involving youth in urban planning contributes to more just and diverse cities. This study suggests promoting meeting spaces, fostering artistic expression, developing youth-focused policies, and considering young people's perspectives in urban planning are essential to address their needs
