"Aos bons goianos" : questões políticas e a mudança da capital de Goiás nas páginas d'A Informação Goyana (1917-1935)

Abstract

This thesis analyzes A Informação Goyana, magazine founded and edited in Rio de Janeiro between 1917 and 1935. The idea of creating a printed organ about the State of Goiás in the Rio de Janeiro city was an aspiration of Henrique Silva. When performing your project with the collaboration of a group of intellectuals Goiás, used the magazine as a political manifestation instrument, economic and social development of State, with the intent to insert it into a political discussion scenario at national level. The source used will be linked to his intellectual mentor: Henrique Silva. In the quest to understand his political thought and their interests, we identified that he had ties, affinities and political positions, which were also expressed in the pages of magazine. So take for example the campaign by the magazine in favor of moving the capital of Goiás, but with the firm intention that the new capital was Bonfim, present city of Silvânia.
