Abstract

Contemporary society is under expressive changes accelerated by scientific and technological advances along with the social changes that have revolutionized forms of verbal communication, reading and writing, featuring the civilizing stage recognized as Cyberculture. This, in turn, promoted significant changes in the way the author and reader have passed to relate to the text, considering the new social practices from the perspective of multiliteracies (ROJO, 2013a). Thus, literary genres have come to incorporate new languages, forms and textures of visual arts and also gained new media and supports, such as hypermedia, which is relevant to bring new materiality to the literary creation. In this sense, this research aimed to investigate the theme: “Possible Poetics: creation and fruition of poetry in digital media”, in order to understand the production and fruition processes of digital poetry to offer possible methodological strategies for the aesthetic appreciation of poetry and the exercise of creative writing in digital media. It aimed to demonstrate procedures that favored the passage of word to image in the transcreation process of printed poetic text to digital format, considering the hypermedia specifics. For this, it was traced a historical way contemplating concrete and digital poems produced by Portuguese and Brazilian artists. In order to explore the experience of creation e fruition of digital poetry, the research also considered the interactivity with the blog Poemário by Rui Torres, Portuguese web-poet, consisting of textual engines to produce digital poems, in view of procedures of “escrileitura” according to Barbosa (2003) and “creative writing” by Bom (1999) and Mancelos (2007). The methodology involved qualitative research, according to the principles of action research with bibliographic support, to present and discuss theoretical conceptions of electronic literature, cyberliterature and cyberculture. In the field research, reading and fruition workshops of poetry in digital media were given to teachers from four public and private schools in Goiania to verify how to actualize work with electronic literature in schools nowadays. These procedures were important to discuss didactic and pedagogical proposals favoring the fruition and creation of digital poetry in the classroom. The results indicate that digital poetry is little known and explored in reading and writing class and that the pedagogical work with digital poetry is avoided more because of the unfamiliarity of teachers with technology, in general, and with the cyberliterature, in particular, than because of the lack of material resources at school. Thus, it can conclude that reality of formal teaching has presented itself sometimes discouraging, however, it can be reversed if there is training and physical and pedagogical structure in schools. It is necessary above all develop a careful and creative pedagogical work to promote the reading practice, especially of digital poetic text, to reach a contemporary teaching, that accompany social practices of students, promoting the creative capacity of them, front the demands of literacy that contemplate the multimedia and multisemiosis.
