A mobilidade a pé no Bairro João Francisco Goiás-GO, sob a perspectiva da caminhabilidade

Abstract

The present dissertation focuses on urban mobility as an expression of urban reality, with a central focus on walking mobility and walkability in the João Francisco sector of the City of Goiás. This research is based on concepts of cities, urban mobility, walking mobility, walkability, and the means of circulation present in urban areas. To this end, we drew upon authors such as Souza (2010), Vasconcellos (2012), Gehl (2015), Speck (2017), Bradshaw (1993), IBGE (2022), Druciaki (2009), and Brazil (2012). ITDP. The methodologies employed in this research include theoretical grounding, which is fundamental for the study. An analysis of the urban expansion of the City of Goiás was conducted to identify key areas of significance for the research. This led to the selection of a neighborhood where circulation plays a prominent role and serves as the main hub for commerce and services in the City of Goiás. From this perspective, the study delves into the contexts and the significant importance of public policies aimed at walking mobility in the City of Goiás, exploring how walking and mobility processes align within this context.
