Abstract

This research, based on the perspective of "existential cartographies", aimed to "cartograph" the dense trajectories of existence and insertion in the world of work of deaf and deaf women female workers. Indeed, she underlined the difficulties that they carry being women, being deaf and hearing impaired people in the workplace. The general objective of the research was to understand the trajectories space of deaf workers from Goiânia recognizing dimensions of their condition as a person with Disability in a so-called efficient society. In this way, the research excelled in developing Interpretations of spatial trajectories of deaf workers from their social insertions in Goiania. Revealer of existential cartographies of a group of deaf workers in city of Goiânia, the survey identified problems, contradictions and potential of female workers deaf people in urban sociability. The methodology included qualitative research procedures. In between these procedures, highlighted the literature review, unstructured interviews, participation in events and spaces for dialogue and struggles for rights such as the Association of Deaf Women of Goiânia and the Deaf and Deaf Association of Goiânia. In these associations, the interviews allowed us to understand the dynamics of deaf subjects as working people. Research has shown that there are difficulties in the permanence of these women in companies in the face of a reality of turnover and physical and psychological illnesses, communication difficulties in public spaces, in companies and in the family. The results reveal the dense trajectories of women with hearing impairment and deaf people who face historical structures of prejudice, segregation and challenges faced by Disabled people. These are stories of women, who constitute the path of life facing physical and attitudinal barriers, but they carry experiences of achievements in education, in the struggle for rights, in employment as a source of autonomy and joy; are guardians of dreams for a society of justice and full dignities.
