Resistência negra Afrodescendente em Goiás : a associação Quilombola Ana Laura no município de Piracanjuba/GO

Abstract

The main objective of this research was to develop an investigative process with the afrodescendant families of Piracanjuba/GO, with a view to contributing to the strengthening of social relations in the community. Three other objectives were established for the development of our investigations: The first focuses on the historical rescue of afrodescendant communities in brazilian territory; the second one in the characterization of the families belonging to the Ana Laura Quilombola Association; and, thirdly, to reflect on the cultural practices and traditions existing and practiced by afrodescendant families in the context of the permanent urbanization, industrialization and technologization of society, caused by the neoliberal policies associated with the continuum of globalization of the economy. We understand that the configuration of the realities of the world from globalization, the elements and the transformations generated from this phenomenon in connection with the quilombola communities face difficulties and challenges of the most diverse orders (political, economic, social, cultural, environmental). In this context, we chose to carry out the research from the perspective of Research-Action-Participation (RAP), since, besides its flexibility and technical variety, we have the possibility of action and active interaction with the community in the various moments of the research, which was developed through the following phases: a) preliminary study of the region and population surveyed; b) institutional and methodological setting; c) review of the biliographic; d) presentation of the research to community members; e) dialogue with public administration institutions and nongovernmental organizations in the municipality; f) presentation of the research proposal for those belonging to the Ana Laura Quilombola Association; g) monitoring community activities, conducting interviews and speaking wheels; h) transcription, organization and systematization of information; g) interpretation and critical analysis of information; i) elaboration of the action plan (essay writing); j) dissemination of the results (qualification and defense of the dissertation). Our expectation is to build an instrument that expresses the struggle for recognition and appreciation of afrodescendant culture as opposed to the economic and political interests of big capital.
