Abstract
From decentralized concepts and knowledge based on hybridization and interculturality, this work is resulted of research realized with a countrywoman group that were nominated by poetic embroiderer group. The proposal was to make visual narratives based on other stories produced by women from Latin America (countries like Chile, Argentina, Peru and Brazil), named arpilleras, through the organization of episode sequence, they create visualities able to seduce, to question, to generate unrest and to materialize esthetics experiences, aggregating individual and collective information. The arpilleras are images that connect in the elaboration of important events, being individual or collective, passing through the constitution of the subjects. According to the approximation with the creative process of the original arpilleras, the proposal developed is an artistic way that must connect the poems written by Conceição Evaristo and Cora Coralina to their course and must result in another artistic object. During the process of bricolage to make the poetic embroidery, there is a trans/former journey with the involved, since the appropriation of discarded object (pieces of cloth, old clothes, bottoms, ropes, line, etc.), to the subversion of this objects, which some them are part of each subject’s history. The variety of contexts and materials used to the making demonstrates the hybrid character and in displacement. When these pieces connect to the others, they trigger off in a collective visual narrative of reflection, negotiation and answer about the appropriation and resignification of poems – they are understood like open works – in new structural forms. The production path is different from the original work made with Chilean arpilleras, per example, because in that context, the works were made like denunciation tools and ways of facing the social-political contexts, mainly about the dictatorship. In this research, the embroideries are built basing on a memorialist and representative trajectory of the involved subjects. The application of this research has three groups: two of them in the city of Vianópolis – Goiás and other group in the city of Catalão – Goiás. The theoretical discussion is inserted in an articulated way with different knowledge, covering original concepts from the visual culture, literary studies, performance and Social Science to sew reflections based on the process, in order to question normalization and standardization, to question crystalized canons and to press structures that are seen like pure and hegemonic.
