Entre memórias e notas musicais : uma história da vida privada do Maestro João Ribeiro nas décadas de 1930-1950

Abstract

The present work makes a brief survey of how the city of Goiás, seen as a place of delay, presented great moments of effervescence, demystifying this concept, leading to the projection of names that stood out in the cultural environment of Goiás, where the name of the Maestro stands out. João Ribeiro da Silva, who in partnership with other important names in the early decades of the 20th century, were responsible for composing various songs, which they were responsible for providing entertainment from cinema projection rooms to carnival balls; as well as enhancing the cultural activities of the former capital. The methodology used to produce this article is based on bibliographical references related to the concept of culture and music in the city of Goiás, in which the figure to be studied stands out, with the musical pieces composed by maestro João Ribeiro, his sources of inspiration and his contribution to the cultural development of the city of Goiás. The references to be used deal, above all, with music and culture in Goiás, where we find quotes about Maestro João Riberio da Silva, in which Mendonça's works stand out (1979); Rodrigues (1982); Borges (1999) and Lima (2019).
