Silagem de milho com diferentes proporções de polpa cítrica

Abstract

It is a great importance the knowledge and evaluation of new alternatives that can be used in animal feed, as well as the impacts that these results will produce in the animals that will make use of these foods. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different proportions of citrus pulp added to corn silage. The experimental design was a completely randomized design. The citrus pulp was through a natural drying process, and thereafter the corn silage was added in a ratio of 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50%. The ensiling was performed in PVC silos and closed with two layers of plastic, to prevent the entry of oxygen. A total of four silos per treatment were prepared. The results of the fermentative and bromatological parameters were statistically evaluated through analysis of variance and regression. The citrus pulp showed a good additive in the proportion of 50% increasing linearly the in vitro digestibility of dry matter, crude protein and ethereal extract and causing a linear downward effect on the pH values. For the N-NH3 / NT, CT, NDF, FDA and MM contents, quadratic behavior was observed for the obtained curves. No effects on MS values were observed.
