Abstract

After a great historical elimination period, abandon and segregation of disabled people, we have in recent decades the emergence of national and international movements for the conquest of human rights requiring all people, indiscriminately, have guaranteed the same rights in society, respecting their cultural, social and individual differences, thus resulting in the recognition of the right of persons with disabilities to full participation in society. International marks reflected in several countries and in Brazil the educational inclusion developing a pedagogical political design, implementing legislation for the education of all students the same educational spaces, producing a reversal of perspective to transform the school to receive all learners with their differences and individual particularities. In this context, where the school shall receive students with various disabilities, is necessary to develop a research that can help the school staff, in order the inclusive process really becomes effective. We believe that we have achieved the objectives proposed to investigate whether and/or how children's literature associated with games can contribute to quantification of learning the integers (0-9) for students with down syndrome. In our research from observation and studies we developed as an educational product a literary book and games (playing cards, dominoes and software) that can be used in many possibilities as a methodological resource. With these results we can indicate the importance of individual care to students with disabilities, the need for diversification of methodologies, the need for respect and appreciation of the student body characteristics.
