Abstract
This Master's Dissertation addresses the theme of High School Management in the state of Goiás (GO) from the perspective of Edgar Morin's dialogic approach. The research is structured around the following problem: where and how is Morin's dialogic principle of complexity theory present in High School Management in the state of Goiás, and what are its challenges? To answer this question, the general objective of the research is to investigate, at theore-tical, methodological, and technical levels, the presence, dynamics, and challenges of Morin's dialogic principle in High School Management in the state of Goiás. The specific objectives are: (a) to outline the history, legal context, and current reality of School Management, highlighting its transformations over time and the normative frameworks that guide its practice; (b) to conduct a theoretical approach, based on specialized bibliographies, on the concepts and understandings related to School Management and the dialogic principle within Edgar Morin's complexity the-ory; (c) to analyze the presence of Morin's dialogic dynamics in High School Management in the state of Goiás through interviews conducted with public school managers; and (d) to present the main achievements and challenges faced by managers in conducting School Management in public high schools in the state of Goiás. The methodology of this research follows a qualitative approach, using the embedded single-case study method. The research field comprises public high schools located in the Jardim Ingá District, in the municipality of Luziânia – GO. The research techniques employed include observation and semi-structured interviews. Regarding the theoretical framework, relevant legislation was used, such as the 1988 Federal Constitution and the current National Education Guidelines and Framework Law of 1996. Additionally, the research is based on the works of various authors, including Ferreira Junior (2010), Leão (1945), Lück (2007), Drabach and Mousquer (2009), Almeida (2004), Morin (2005), Yin (2001), Severino (2013), and Bardin (2002), among other scholars. In summary, the research results indicate that Morin's dialogic principle manifests in High School Management in the state of Goiás, being evident in different processes related to educational management. Notably, this includes the process of selecting managers and the actions carried out in a shared manner with various actors in the school community.
