Abstract
This master's thesis presents the study of the relationship between museum and school, with the purpose of the concepts of culture, school and training, understanding how this effective integration can contribute to the enrichment of the educational experience of students and to the development of critical and creative skills. The work is characterized as bibliographical and documentary research, with a qualitative approach, which aims to understand and reflect on museums, their emergence in the past and how they became a place of delight for society, knowledge, research and where they are exposed material goods that take us back to glorious or not glorious pasts, but that teach us their relationship with the formation of man. Thus, it is assumed that the people who frequent this space are constantly learning and that this knowledge is given through dialogical means, in which the past is presented in the form of objects, uses and customs, in addition to reflecting on the present in improving the future. The methodological procedures were based on bibliographical research with theoretical foundations. This study tells the story of the founding of the city of Jaraguá-GO, its controversies regarding its beginning and name and how museums emerged that ensure the city's memory is preserved and how these spaces are maintained. Investigations were carried out on local museums in order to evaluate the feasibility of promoting mediation, museum education and learning by visitors in these spaces enriched by the memories of a dedicated and hard-working people. Among the contributions of the research, the understanding that museums are spaces that contribute to the development of the subject in view of an education that aims at human formation in its entirety stands out. The museum, like the school, is a context for the production of knowledge and learning, enabling human beings to develop their potential based on the cultural experiences that take place there.
