O trabalho docente como obra de arte

Abstract

Teaching, conceived as a work of art and grounded in the teachings of great classical philosophers, reflects the intrinsic disposition of human existence linked to a genuine reflection on education. In this context, this research seeks to examine education as a work of art and the challenges faced by teaching in achieving the status of a work of art in a capitalist society characterized by injustice and inequality. The study aims to discuss, through textual analyses from a philosophical perspective, the essence of art as the elevation of man to the ideal of the highest good and as imitation in the contemporary context, which has neglected the true purpose of education as art towards areté. The homo economicus is the result of this education that distorts it, characterized in this work as education of shadows.
