Reflexões sobre o adoecimento docente na primeira fase da educação básica

Abstract

The research Reflections on teacher illness is of a theoretical nature and aims to think about teacher illness, considering studies in the sociological, psychological fields, present in the scientific field. It seeks to carry out a historical-philosophical reflection on the object in questionin contemporary times. Thus, the quantification of the teacher illness phenomenon, in a broader sense, will not be contemplated in this study. To this end, the reflections raised are anchored, above all, in the studies developed by WanderleyCodo (2006, 2000, 1999, 1993), Rosso (2008), Kuenzer and Caldas (2009), Antunes (2006a, 2006b, 2010), Paulo Freire (2001, 1993), among others. Although this phenomenon manifests itself in the dimension of subjectivity, it will not be understood as belonging to individualities, but as social and historically situated in a class society and, therefore, should be understood as an unfolding of multiple determinations. It must, therefore, be understood by the analysis of the historical, political, social, economic, ethical, philosophical conditions that make it possible to unveil what produces and reproduces it. Thus,it is recognized as a foundation the understanding that human reality is not determined or fixed,but is the result of human action in view of the constitution of its existence as historical subjectsand as humanity, therefore, it is work that is effective in a dialectical relationship between the dimensions of the data and the possibilities. The research on teacher illness allowed the apprehension of several issues, among them, the understanding and recognition that teacher illness is directly related to the process of emptying the meaning of teaching work in capitalist society, as well as the distancing from what constitutes its nature and purposes.
