Abstract
This study aimed, in general, investigate the influences of affective pedagogical mediation in
the re - signification of the identity of the elderly participant in digital inclusion projects that
integrate teaching, research and extension. This study was carried out with elderly people
from the city of Anápolis (GO) who participated in the learning workshops developed by the
"Inclusão Digital e Social – Conhecimento e Cidadania” and "Ciranda Digital da Cidadania"
Projects linked to the Laboratório de Mídias Interativas / Laboratório Interdisciplinar de
Formação de Educadores (LIM / LIFE) from the Universidade Estadual de Goiás (UEG) in
the period from 2015 to 2016. The central question that guided this study sought to clarify the
extent to which affective pedagogical mediation interferes with the resignification of the
identity of the elderly. Thus, to understand if the pedagogical relationship established between
elderly and female teachers in initial training in digital inclusion workshops translates into a
dialogical and affective pedagogical relationship, and if this relationship interferes with the
identity of the elderly. Specifically, the objective was to understand to what extent the
indissociability teaching-research-extension interferes in the formation of teachers,
contextualizing the demands that the era of knowledge imposes. In addition, we sought to
understand the condition of the elderly, their place and function in the current capitalist
context and investigate how the identity of the elderly can be influenced by an affective
pedagogical mediation. In order to reach the objectives deriving from this problem, a
reference is made based on scholars with a critical perspective as, Freire (1997), Ciampa
(1987), Habermas (1983), Kachar (2003), Debert 2000). Regarding the methodology, the
adoption is by the qualitative research. This study concluded that the digital inclusion carried
out with an affective pedagogical mediation is an instrument of social inclusion of the elderly,
promoting the emancipation and the resignification of their identity and pointed to the
importance of the formation of teachers to be carried out from the indissociability teaching-
Research-extension.
