Devoção e fé nas folias em Morrinhos/GO : resistência na tradição do catolicismo popular

Abstract

This research brings to the center of the debate the information surrounding the theme of leaves, in the city of Morrinhos / GO. With dense information that gravitate from the state of the art, fundamental concepts and myths of the emergence or many forms of the emergence of folias, going through the formation of the identity of its agents and leaders, reaching the issues that involve tradition, collective memory and maintenance of that tradition . It should be noted that this work consists of the idea of illuminating as many variations of the folios in a territorial space in which this origin has been gaining strength each year, even in the face of the bad weather faced by these forms of Popular Catholicism. Here we present some reflections on the resistance of the people to the attempt to institutionalize the origin, by means of Institutional Catholicism, reaching the understanding that in addition to resistance, the leaves walk in a process of cultural circularity, provoked by hybridity and its unfolding formation in this way of culture, which we will also dedicate to explain.
