Abstract
Myrsini cuneifolia (Myrsinaceae). The plant Myrsine cuneifolia is owned by the family
Myrsinaceae and gender Myrsine, characterized by alquilbenziquinonas and a number
of triterpenoids, the plants of this genus are known as capororoca, and several studies
have reported biological activities such as cytotoxic, contraceptive, biocidal, antispermatogenic, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiplasmodial,
and against diabetes mellitus. After literature where it was observed that there are no
reports of studies on this plant so far. Besides a large number of compounds have
been elucidated and the various activities presented on their family and their gender,
and also for easy access, Myrsine cuneifolia was chosen for phytochemical studies,
and evaluated for potential anti-tumor, antimicrobial, insecticidal and front the cathepsin
K and B. Were isolated and identified myrsinóico A acid, which was submitted to the
reactions of structural changes aimed at a structure-activity relationship, catechin,
quercetin, quercetrin and ethyl aspartate, also observed the presence of several
flavonoid glycosides, unidentified due to difficulties in isolation.
