Abstract

The present dissertation takes place in the context of the information and communication technologies, which are extremely widespread in our society, within the realities of the discipline of architecture and construction, with emphasis on the challenges for the implementation of the BIM platform in education. The use of the BIM platform in Architecture is due to the many potential benefits that this information modeling tool can bring. Among them is the simulation and the aid to the standardization of components, being important in the development of solutions with greater control and accuracy. This dissertation comprehends the that new information and communication technologies as an advance in education, which allows new learning environments as well as new teaching dynamics that allow the formation of citizens and professionals able to deal with the scientific and technological world. The general objective was to analyze the challenges and propose solutions for the implementation of the BIM platform in contemporary architecture and construction teaching, focusing on the city of Anápolis-GO. More strictly, we aim to develop a short course, with emphasis on the training of these teachers, and an e-book with materials and information about commands and possible uses of BIM, for the continuing education of teachers of architecture and construction, through technological lag found in relation to the BIM platform. This work understands that, facing the technological society, new ways of teaching are needed, as well as the constant training of teachers and educational institutions, so that they are updated to the new information and communication technologies used by the social environment. Quantitative-qualitative research was used as methodology, with survey of data in institutions of teaching of architecture and urbanism. The field research found a theoretical basis based on the bibliographical survey regarding ICT in teaching, and on the BIM platform and the challenges for its implementation.
