Abstract

Nitrogen is the most required nutrient for soybeans, being easily available for cultivation through the inoculation of seeds with bacteria of the genus Bradyrhizobium spp. With the advent of new technologies, the use of long-life inoculants, which guarantee the survival of the bacteria over the long term of storage, this technique has been adopted by producers. But the ability to affect the quality of soybean seeds during storage is still poorly understood. In this sense, the objective of this work was to verify the possible reactions of soybean seeds after inoculation with long-life inoculants, stored in an environment with temperature control and in an environment without temperature control. Seeds of the variety 8473RSF RR were stored in two different environments, being inoculated CTS 200 (long life) and not inoculated, which the seed samples were collected after 0, 30, 45, 60 and 75 days of storage in two different environments: common warehouse (without temperature control) and refrigerated warehouse (with temperature control). The seeds were submitted to germination, accelerated aging, germination speed index, electrical conductivity, seedling length, seedling dry matter and moisture. It was concluded that inoculation with a long-life inoculant does not harm the physiological potential of soybean seeds.
