Abstract
The tin II chloride (SnCl2) is a very stable type of salt for pH equal to 5 and
soluble in water at room temperature. It is a strong reductant. Has a significance
in industry along with applications in various industrial area. Some of these
applications are in the automotive industry, the industry of dyeing cloth, in the
food industry, in the area of health science, industrial production of biodiesel. In
the automotive industry it is used as rear window defrosters. In the industry as a
mordant which to for a longer time the color tissues. In the food industry is used
for the manufacture of laminated packaging in order to store food. In health, it is
used to damage cells. SnCl2 is considered an acid catalyst stable, cheaper and
less corrosive compared with conventional acid catalysts in biodiesel production
and beyond to meet a demand cleaner technology in producing biodiese. In this
work, we use molecular dynamics Car-Parrinello to analyze and understand the
behavior of the electronic structure of tin II chloride, solvated in a cubic box of
15,8 Å edge, with 62 water molecule.
