Abstract

The advent of the Base Nacional Comum Curricular – BNCC (Common National Curriculum Base) in 2018 relight the debate about the institution of standardized curriculum. This debate was already witnessed in all world and it’s been a long-time sharing opinions between politicians and academic intellectuals. The current debate question – between other things – the real consequences of the application of a new standardized curriculum to all brazilian educational system. Understanding that the process of formation of students presents one important stage in the constitution of human life, any official interference on this process can presents a biopolitical agency, which subtly settles itself down as a tool, mainly on current Democratic State. Such biopolitical agency can be understood inside the studies of Michel Foucault as the art of manage the human life in all its aspects, not only in the biological field. Inside the Foucault’s studies about Biopolitics, is clear the importance of the concepts of discipline, governmentality and docilization and mainly the analysis of human life under a utility point of view, which tools composes a complex of strategies used by Biopolitics to manage the individuals’ life, looking for make them dociles, malleable, therefore, subjects to the control and the achievement of certain purposes. Comprehending that the elaboration and validity of new National Base is a Biopolitical agency looking for achieve certain purposes is that the current research looked to investigate the BNCC under the Biopolitics optics, searching understand how the institution of this new curriculum presents a clear interference in human life and, then, look to achieve certain purposes with that interference. Therefore, the current paper was structured under the bibliographic research patterns, analyzing the document of BNCC based on theoric fundaments showed in initial chapters. Through the analysis of BNCC under the optics of Biopolitics was possible to see that the proposition and validity of this new standardized curriculum presents a clear interference in one of the most important stage of human life formation: the education, once it proposes a formation entirely focused to institution of a valuable human capital to the market, but little or nothing oriented to the exercise of life in its most complex dimentions. So, remained proven that in a historical process in which BNCC presents just a single stage, the individuals and the school both became objects in the market relationships, as they became seen purely in utility terms and considered just by their value, their productive potetial to the capitalist market.
