Abstract
This research is based on the following problematic: Does Odé Kayodê Pluricultural School have characteristics of creativity and interculturality in a decolonial, complex and transdisciplinary perspective? From this question, a case study analyzes if/why/how the Pluicultural School Odé Kayodê presents characteristics of being a creative and intercultural school in a decolonial, complex and transdisciplinary perspective. The institution studied is
characterized as a particular community, located in the Cidade de Goiás - GO, and is a reference in african and indigenous cultures to think all its dimensions. Conceived from the qualitative research approach, the study used documentary analysis, observation, semi-structured interviews, talk wheels, photographic records and field jornal to explore sources of diverse evidences and to construct data about the investigated reality to be analyzed from the present categories in the Instrument for Valuing the Development of Creative Institutions, linking research to the International Network of Creative Schools. For the purpose of supporting the analyzes and to circumvent the epistemological construction of the work, we discuss in a central way theoretical references on coloniality, decoloniality, cultural studies, complexity, transdisciplinarity, critical interculturality and creativity. We start with
authors such as Aníbal Quijano, Walter Mignolo, Raymond Williams, Tomaz Tadeu da Silva, Edgar Morin, Maria Cândida Moraes, Basarab Nicolescu, Vera Maria Candau, Catherine Walsh, Marilza Suanno, João Henrique Suanno and Saturnino de la Torre to propose a theoretical braid that helps to think about the reality investigated and to re-dimension the categories of analysis of VADECRIE from the circular interweaving of decoloniality,
complexity, transdisciplinarity, critical interculturality and creativity. Thus, ten categories of analysis are presented that allow the Odé Kayodê Pluricultural School to be understood as an educational institution with highly creative and intercultural potential in a complex, transdisciplinary and intercultural perspective, even in the midst of diverse tensions and internal inconsistencies. The categories are: stimulating and creative leadership; creative
professorship; innovative culture, creativity as value; entrepreneurial spirit; transdisciplinary and transformative vision; multipurpose curriculum; innovative methodology; formative and transformative evaluation; human, social and environmental values. The presence of these dimensions in the studied school is presented as a result of the research. But in addition to this, the case study helps to perceive in an underlying way and across all categories of
analysis an educational proposal thought of in the perspective of the wheel, of the emerging circularity from african, indigenous and afro-brazilian cultures to inspire the organization of the school in all its dimensions. The cultural differences that weave the creative and intercultural characteristics of the school in a decolonial, complex and transdisciplinary perspective. Therefore, we consider that to conceive of cultural differences as a power is a
central factor to strengthen the reinvention of schools in different contexts. In addition, we understand that the study contributes to strengthening the theoretical relations proposed, so as to make possible further research that delves into the propositions presented here.
