O lúdico no ensino de ciências : elaboração, desenvolvimento e validação de um júri simulado com a utilização de QSC

Abstract

The aim of this study was to understand the impact of the mock trial as a teaching strategy andthe contributions of socio-scientific questions (QSC) to science teaching, and whether they canmake the teaching-learning process more attractive, meaningful, enjoyable and make highschool students more proactive. The project was carried out with twenty-four invited students,authorized by their guardians, from the third grade of a state school in the city of Aparecida deGoiânia, in the state of Goiás, with the prior approval of the Ethics Committee of the StateUniversity of Goiás. We began writing the text based on the chosen theoretical andmethodological assumptions, which were the basis for our analysis of the study. In order todevelop our proposal, we need a theme and this needs to be contradictory, so our basis will bebased on a QSC, which was the improper use of pesticides. The development and validationwas carried out by Chemistry teachers from the school itself who kindly accepted the invitationto take part in the work. They gave eight lessons to the students with the aim of helping toclarify doubts, introducing new concepts and knowledge, as well as solving the conceptualproblems found in the answers provided by the questionnaire that was applied in the firstlesson. The classes were held in the second half of September 2023 and the application andvalidation of the Mock Jury took place on October 11 of the same year. From reading articles,dissertations and theses to gain a better understanding of the subject and also to support thework, two articles were written, one was accepted by the National Meeting for Research inScience Education (ENPEC) and the other published in a journal with qualis A4, both of whichare attached to this text. The analysis of the data obtained was organized in the form of ascientific article and is incorporated into this dissertation.
