Expansão urbana sobre áreas de preservação permanente em caldas novas (GO) entre 1980 a 2018

Abstract

This dissertation is the result of a research carried out in the city of Caldas Novas, located in the State of Goiás, about the urban expansion in the nascent areas. The central objective was to identify the environmental problems arising from the expansion process without the adequacy with the environmental legislation. It is composed of three chapters in the form of scientific articles. The first chapter makes a bibliographical review, with a multidisciplinary approach on water. The methodology used was the reading of the main authors on the subject, with the intention of tracing the theoretical profile that supported the research. The second chapter deals with the process of formation of the urban space of Caldas Novas and the economic, demographic and environmental reflexes of the lack of territorial management. The historical method was used to understand the construction of the Municipality. The third chapter analyzes the anthropic actions in the areas of the urban springs. The methodology used was the collection of information in public agencies, mapping and field research. The results obtained, in the three chapters, allow to conclude that the Caldas Novas inspection is deficient, which causes the degradation of most of the sources. The driving force for the development of the municipality is water, in order to monitor water resources. Given this perspective, the work draws attention to the urgency of adopting measures to raise awareness of the sources in the city of Caldas Novas, since the population increase is exponential and the use and occupation of the soil occurs in a disordered way.
