A divulgação e a popularização da ciência na Bacia do Ribeirão João Leite/GO: propostas e perspectivas

Abstract

The work in question presents three educational products and their application in a specific area: the environmental protection area of the João Leite Basin. Such products are part of a larger project, ASTROMAT, developed since 2017 in the region based on the union of forces between academia, the public authorities of the cities involved and Basic Education. Since the dissemination and popularization of Science in Brazil is a great challenge, such a project proves to be innovative and with the resources coming from CNPq with the submission of the project to the National Week of Science and Technology - SNCT. The data analysis methodology was quali-quantitative and exploratory, the strategy used was to carry out work from a multidisciplinary team, with diverse contributions. The project's differential is the team that carries it out, which is made up of university and Basic Education teachers, undergraduate and master's students, as well as people belonging to the prefectures of the cities involved, making countless activities and workshops held during their annual editions possible. especially in the years 2018 and 2019, we highlight the “Domino do Cerrado” which had the objective of presenting in an attractive way representatives of the fauna and flora of the cerrado and using the game as a way of dealing with the environmental theme associated with playfulness; the comic strip “Astrokids on a trip through João Leite's APA” which aimed to publicize the Environmental Protection Area of the João Leite Basin in a contextualized way focusing on the use of technologies as active instruments capable of arousing interest in the preservation of nature in the place where you live; and João Leite's APA Virtual Exhibition, MosAPA, which aimed to expand the dissemination and popularization of Science among residents of the cities that make up João Leite's APA: Anápolis, Campo Limpo de Goiás, Goianápolis, Goiânia, Nerópolis, Ouro Verde and Terezópolis de Goiás. The exhibition expresses the urgency to know and recognize the important role of man in preserving the environment in which we live using information panels, comic books, games , among other materials such as actions that effectively contributed to the dissemination and popularization of Science. Considering the dissemination and popularization within the scope of the environmental protection area of the João Leite Basin and its effects on the local community, the ASTROMAT project took place during the years 2017, 2018 and 2019, which raised and financed discussions regarding the effectiveness of the dissemination and popularization of science, as well as the obstacles that often hinder its realization, the importance of fostering institutions for carrying out these actions and finally the role of educational products for the success of their execution. It can be said that the three pedagogical devices presented here: Domino do Cerrado, Comic strip and Virtual Exhibition point to a playful and attractive way of reaching different audiences in different ways in order to take the four corners of João Leite's APA scientific knowledge relevant to the possibility of harmonious coexistence between society and the environment, where a large number of citizens understand its importance within an Environmental Protection Area.
