Abstract
The present study deals with the educational actions developed by the Academies of Letters, in particular, from the perspective of a case study of the Academia Valparaisense de Letras – AVL. Its general objective is to investigate, at epistemological, methodological and technical levels, the educational actions planned and implemented by the Academies of Letters in Brazilian lands as a subsidy in school education; specifically a case study of the Academia Valparaisense de Letras (AVL), in the municipality of Valparaíso de Goiás, state of Goiás (GO). And, as specific objectives: (a) contextualize the Academies of Letters, at national, state and municipal levels and their respective educational actions; (b) research and list, from documents, the educational actions of the Academia Valparaisense de Letras; (c) analyze the planning and implementation of educational actions at AVL, as well as the experience of these by teachers and managers at Escola Municipal Clarice Lispector ; (d) and, present the social approach to language and language, as we understand their centrality in the implementation of educational actions. To this end, the central idea of this study is to respond to the following research problem: what educational actions do the Academies of Letters develop, how are these actions implemented and what do they represent in school education? The methodological path is revealed from the perspective of qualitative research, inserted in the incorporated single case study modality, taking into account, simultaneously, the AVL and the Escola Municipal Clarice Lispector. Observation and semi-structured interviews with participants in the aforementioned educational actions are presented as a research technique, focusing on the locus of educational actions. At the level of theoretical reference, the Regulations and Statutes of the Brazilian Academy of Letters were used, as well as authors who deal with educational actions, such as Bellotto (2002), Longhi (2005), Habermas (1983) and Gohn (2005) and language, such as Saussure (1997) and Bagno (1999). Regarding the object of study, as well as the objectives listed, the research is based on the methodological path of phenomenology as a driving mechanism for contact with the content of the pre-reflective experience regarding educational actions in the phenomenological approach. As results, the investigation organized within it a cartographic territory of the Academies of Letters in Brazil and their respective educational actions and the interconnections between language and language intertwined in the history and history of the Academies of Letters in Brazilian lands.
