Fé, cores e formas : religiosidade, arte contemporânea e poéticas visuais em Goiás (1993 - 2023).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between contemporary art and religiosity in Goiás from 1993 to 2023, delving into the ramifications of the religious traditions of the cerrado and their reflection in current artistic productions, highlighting artists whose inspiration comes from popular and religious events. In this context, I also place myself as a subject immersed in these traditions, based on my involvement with art and religion, delving into visual practices and poetics, getting to know everything from the creative process to techniques, materials, concepts and meanings. Historical elements are presented, which contribute to understanding some of the questions and differences between art and religion, which in turn share the power of the imagination.
