Abstract

This dissertation presents a study on the sociocultural values evidenced in literature for children and youth, having as corpus the narrative A Bolsa Amarela, by Lygia Bojunga Nunes. Based on the assumptions of Cultural Studies, our intention is justified by the constant historical transformation determined by the changes that the conceptions of childhood and the pedagogical treatment of this age group over time. The choice of this narrative was due to the author's publications being recurrent in rooms classes and children's literary projects for elementary school. such tales seem follow the momentary and temporal changes of readers and genres, being stories creative, and at the same time, respectful of the peculiarities of the world of the child and the young. This research seeks to investigate how the representations of values are constituted. sociocultural, by the configuration of the characters, within the children's literary narratives of Lygia Bojunga Nunes. As a guiding question, it is intended to answer how the ethical-moral values are being represented in children's fiction, in light of the new sociocultural context of contemporary society. With regard to the route methodological, it is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach that supports the interpretive paradigm and presents the literary analysis of narrative as research technique, from the theoretical-methodological perspective of Cultural Studies, perspective that implies the consideration of historical, social, ideological and cultural aspects of Literature. In this way, it was based on the Theories of Cultural Studies evidenced in studies by Raymond Williams (2003), Kathryn Woodward (2014), Stuart Hall (1997,2014), Costa,Silveira and Sommer (2003), among others, in order to promote reflections on relevant concepts about culture and identity within literary studies. The other bias theoretical pertinent to the research are studies related to Children's Literature and Education intercultural, for which we will use the studies of Regina Zilberman (2012), Nelly Novaes Coelho (2000), Vera Maria Tietzmann Silva (1994), Laura Constância Sandroni(2011), Ana Canen (2007) and Vera Maria Candau(2011). By relating cultural studies to the literary text Lygia Bojunga Nunes, categories of analysis that are already socially configured, such as questions raised by the author regarding the role of women in society, freedom, the family model and the place of the child. By recreating social reality in which the reader is inserted, Lygia represents his daily life and allows him to reflect on matters of more complex structure. We note that the author's intention is to direct youfor life, social engagement and how she uses stories to promote complaintsabout the social problems facing childhood and adolescence.
