Encontro municipal para educadores de Anápolis em astronomia (EMEAA): contribuições para o ensino de ciências nos anos iniciais

Abstract

The training of teachers in Brazil is a great challenge. In this sense, from the Professional Masters in Science Teaching - PPEC / UEG we conducted the EMEAA - Municipal Meeting for Educators of Annapolis in Astronomy. The EMEAA consisted of ten face-to-face meetings where considering the methodology of the three Pedagogical Moments we deal with the astronomical themes present in the Curricular Matrix of the Municipal Education Network of Anápolis/GO for students of the 5th grade of the Initial Years. Professors from the public and private networks of Anápolis participated in the EMEAA. The format of the course provided an ample discussion on the relevance of the teacher training in service, also favored an active participation of the cursistas which led to the collective construction of the meeting itself, during its accomplishment; of a Didactic Sequence (SD) for the 5th year; the enhancement of a game for the teaching of the Gregorian calendar; an exhibition for the National Science and Technology Week. The EMEAA was rather an action research where it was tried to understand the obstacles to the teaching of astronomy for students of the 5th year, although this Science has aroused humanity's interest since the earliest times and still has an interdisciplinary character. Almost all the participants of the course have a degree in Pedagogy; all of them work in the 5th year and unanimously admitted little or no contact with Astronomy during graduation or even in so-called continuing education
