Abstract
This research is linked to the research line "Education, School, and Technologies" of the
Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Education, Language, and Technologies (PPGIELT) at the
State University of Goiás (UEG). In light of the criteria established by the VADECRIE instrument,
it aimed to evaluate whether the teaching practices of lower secondary school teachers at a state
school in the city of Anápolis-GO show signs of creativity. This is an exploratory study with both
qualitative and quantitative approaches, based on a literature review and the application of mixed
questionnaires. Data analysis revealed diverse perceptions regarding teacher creativity, indicating
that, although many teachers recognize the importance of innovative practices, structural and
training-related challenges hinder the expression of creativity in the classroom. The results suggest
the need for investment in continuous training policies and actions that value and encourage
creativity in the educational context, as a strategy to make teaching more meaningful and
aligned with contemporary demands. The research results also indicate that the school institution
complies with the VADECRIE/RIEC framework
