Abstract
This master's thesis has as its theme “Teaching in higher education and contemporary technologies: an approach based on the epistemology of Gaston Bachelard”. As a research problem, it has the following question: what are the contributions and challenges of Bachelardian epistemology for teaching in higher education mediated by contemporary technologies? As a general objective to investigate, at a theoretical and methodological level, the contributions of Bachelardian epistemology to the field of education mediated by contemporary technologies; highlighting the presence of Bachelardian scientific pedagogy in teaching in higher education. And, the specific objectives are the following: (a) contextualize, from the historical aspect, concepts and understandings of the trajectory of teaching in higher education; (b) approach technologies as mediation and pedagogical mediation; (c) explain the characteristics and foundations of Bachelard's (historical) epistemology, with emphasis on scientific pedagogy; (d) reflect on the characteristics and challenges of Bachelard's epistemology in higher education teaching, from its locus and task in academia and science. We use the approach of theoretical investigation so that we reach our objective and answer the probing question of this dissertation. This investigation, without synthesis, from Bachelard's scientific epistemology and pedagogy, reminds us and challenges us to implement teaching in higher education that is attentive to the contemporary demands of our society. That is, a technologically and pedagogically mediated teaching that interconnects resources, devices and everything else that are available in society in favor of the teaching and learning process and academic-scientific knowledge
