Abstract
This paper aims to investigate the occupations of public schools in Anápolis
in the years 2015 and 2016, from the reconstitution of the memory of students who
actively participated in the mobilizations. Therefore, interviews were conducted with
former students from three public schools that were occupied, seeking to analyze the
influence that occupations caused in the formation of awareness of these Young
women through their reports. The understanding of the social, political, economic and
cultural aspects that contextualized the universe of public schools is present, in order
to analyze the triggering of this phenomenon that puts students at the center of the
clashes involving the defense of public school by students versus the state as mere
executive of private affairs. In this sense, we propose to deepen theoretically the
studies in the social construction of memory, social movements, its historicity and
contemporary manifestation in the light of these theories, to analyze the actions of
occupation of public schools by the students.
