Abstract

For Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778) the good education is responsible for the freedom and autonomy of the individual in society. However, for that be possible, according to Rousseau, the man should getting strength in his childhood, according to nature, far from the pernicious influence of degenerate social relations. For a better understanding of Rousseau’s thinking about the “good education” and its relation with the early childhood’s education, we will deal with the concept of nature in the works, Discourse on the origin and the foundations of inequality among men and Emile or on education. We trying to understand how the man’s nature could be respect and how he can achieve the freedom and autonomy necessary for life in society.
