O patrimônio natural do município de Formosa-GO : um estudo sobre a importância da educação patrimonial para a preservação dos bens ambientais

Abstract

This work presents a mapping of the main natural heritages of Formosa-GO municipality, obtained from interviews with city residents who, dialogically, presented the places that most represent their cultural references. It also permeates the formative historical course of the city, considering these same natural patrimonies conditioning factors of life and mention of spaces that were gradually being called sectors, memories, traditions, and references that became cultural over time. Further on, it addresses aspects of local public policy and how it is concerned with keeping these references preserved the natural heritage protection. The sources for the development of the research were legislative and iconographic official papers and oral sources with the productive social participation of those involved who listed the natural heritage of the municipality that are significant to them. In the context of Heritage Education, thinking about corroborating the aspirations of protection and care for the assets, the proposal aimed to approach the essential pillars of the purposes of education as a way of instituting sense and meanings to the preservation proposals, guided by the sensitization of the public participating in the Heritage Education workshop developed, as a key-point of this scope. Thus, a para-didactic book was prepared, aimed at students in the early years of elementary school, seeking, as well, to meet the didactic need for materials that address the natural heritage of the researched city. The book has an E-book format, reinforcing the relevance of making the means of learning technological and sustainable, promoting the opportunity to apprehend interdisciplinary content in formal and non-formal teaching environments.
