Abstract
Inclusion consists of inserting all students in regular teaching classes, in order to meet socio- cultural and educational needs, in accordance with the Federal Constitution. With that in mind, the objective of this research was to analyze the possibility of using AT's (Assistive Technologies) along with the learning process for the inclusion of students with special hearing needs, enrolled in the state education network. With the advancement of assistive technologies, many schools have been using these tools to help and improve the teaching-learning process. In this sense, this research questioned: How to develop/enable the learning and communication of deaf students through assistive technology? To answer this question, a technological tool called L2 was analyzed, which proposes to help improve communication between deaf and hearing people through the improvement of the second language (Portuguese). For the participatory qualitative research, an educational product of the didactic sequence type was developed, called "L2 Application Manual", to be used as a didactic guide for using the application, in order to offer participants, in addition to written language, images visual, in order to offer different language options, respecting the limitations of the students surveyed.
